In the corporate, everyone desires a good pay, recognition, position and importance. There are two methods to achieve this.
One, be a blind follower of your boss and other important seniors who matters for your success. Just act as advised ignoring what is right or wrong. Simply act as they wish. This is the SSS character; 1st S - Spineless, having no personality, 2nd S - Speechless - aftraid to table your point of view and the 3rd S - Sightless - having no vision to understand the consequences of your acts. You can achieve success in this way, but such success is accompanied by guilt and without justifiable pride. Ofcourse, the talented never follows such a path of success. Its a shame to do this.
Two, demonstrate your knowledge, experience, talent, capabilty and determination so that the leaders take note of it. Rise up the corporate ladder on your strength. At times, you may face conflicting situations with your seniors, but be it so. Try to handle such events with strategy and politeness. Never become the triple 'SSS' character.
Everyone wants to be the top leader some day. You wish to grow up the corporate ladder. Isn't it? You can do so only when you grow by KNOWLEDGE, not by age. But the question is how do you evaluate yourself on the quantum of growth you have achieved every year? There is a simple method.
Ask yourself and note down what things you know today which you did not know a year back? After you have noted down all the possible points, evaluate with sincerity how important are they for an individual to grow up in your organisation? Are they stereotype and insignificant? Or are they significant achievements relevant to your organisation and scarecely possessed by other employees. If it is the later, you will stand out in the crowd. You may conclude that you have really grown by KNOWLEDGE, and not by AGE.
Remember, corporates of today are not interested in the number of years of experience, they are only interested in your varied experience and talent to deal with the business aspects of the organisation. So, it is important to grow significantly every year in terms of knowledge and experience. You will then surely rise up the corporate ladder much sooner than your competitors. That will bring you joyous success, a success accompanied with pride and happiness. Grow by KNOWLEDGE, not by AGE is the mantra
